Rev Charles' PotatoeBabies!
(MUCH more of the timeline coming soon!)

1989-1995
Around Rev Charles' hairband days
Rob, Todd, Rev Charles started writing songs and performing every jam or open mic. Halloween 1990 Todd and Rev were handing out candy and ran dry! After a few sugar packets Rev took a tiny plastic king-cake baby and shoved it in a potato(e) When they dropped it in the next kids bag, the boy took it out and yelled to his parents at the sidewalk: "This isn't candy! It's some sort of POTATOEBABY!"
Version 1.0

1995-1997
Brad and Joey Bonello
This was a fun version. Joey was a blues player on bass and Brad on drums could play anything. Briefly tagged the band 'An Alternative Shade of Blues'
Version 2.0

1998-1999
NEW LINEUP & FIRST 'PotatoePalooza'
Dan drums Alana bass
After I performed Festival the past 10 years, this lineup established the Sunday afternoon spot at GRs Festival of the Arts FestivalGR.org
PotatoePalooza was created August 1999 because my new drummer said it couldn't be done! 10 years, 100 band performances, 5 bars, and Grand Rapids Monroe Mall Amphitheater!
Version 3.0

2004-2008
Drummer change
Added Mick and hit the cover of RECOIL magazine for a first CD release party at GRs Billy's Lounge
The performance got pretty 'seedy' during this time and I wasn't happy with it. Lots of risque bar shows and poor relationships. The band fit in well with the GR Punk scene during this time.
Version 4.0

2008-2010
AJ Dunning of Verve Pipe on guitar
I had a job for 2 years that BEAT ME DOWN: at&t
As a result I couldn't play my own music :)
AJ Dunning stepped in and stepped up to cover my songs until he had had about enough as well!
After AJ, there were some fun shows at the
LGBTQ+ Pride Fest with drummer Greg and Ian on guitar
Version 4.1

2010-2013
Coming soon: NEW & IMPROVED PotatoeBabies
During this period PotatoeBabies floated along until the end and new beginning finally took place. It was around this timeframe I bought the Oldest Record Shop in Michigan: DODDS!
Version 5.0

2014-Present
Final Frontier
Rev Charles' PotatoeBabies: the final frontier. These are the shows of PotatoeBabies. Its mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no band has gone before!
The RED JACKET made its debut and the show took on an all-ages theme! MORE of everything! The Choir was added, beach balls, TP, cake, and more!
Version 6.9
